FSA-12V 100W or HCF-100-12

Two models side by side: measurements taken by the author in their reviews, and their conclusions. The better value in each row is highlighted.

In brief: Based on review measurements: Test current: HCF-100-12 (10 A vs. 5.6); Ripple: HCF-100-12 (30 mV vs. 200); Temperature rise: FSA-12V 100W (53 °C vs. 115).

Only in one review: Current 8.3 A (HCF-100-12); In test 60 W (FSA-12V 100W); Under load 11.81 V (FSA-12V 100W); Protection 10.5 A (HCF-100-12).

FSA-12V 100W: It runs stably at about 60 W with acceptable ripple and temperature; the author considers it good if treated as a 60 W supply.

HCF-100-12: Ripple is about 30 mV, but the transformer gets quite hot at full load.

Figures were taken from the review text and checked against the quoted passages. Measurement conditions differ between reviews, so read the reviews yourself before buying. Prices at the time of review.
