Red Sony/Murata US18650VTC6, "Red Hot"
Today I’m reviewing the well-known Murata US18650VTC6 battery, but in a “new wrapper.” A review, tests, and most importantly—a comparison with the regular “green” VTC6.
Samsung INR18650-25R, a timeless classic
Many years ago, I posted a review of the Samsung INR18650-25R batteries. They were good batteries, and I really liked them back then. But time has passed, and they’ve landed on my workbench again. Of course, these aren’t the same ones I tested back then, but new ones bought quite recently. I decided to repeat the tests, especially since my testing method is now more complete and accurate.
Sony/Murata US18650VTC4 batteries, “Die, but not today”
I’m adding to my collection of Sony / Murata batteries, and today I’m reviewing a rather old type, the VTC4. As it turns out, they’re still pretty decent, especially if you’re on a tight budget but want a quality battery. After the jump: tests and a comparison with its closest competitor from Samsung.

Hong Kong Electronics Fair in Hong Kong
3 2031
25-08-2019, 10:27
Hong Kong hosts the Hong Kong Electronics Fair every spring and autumn. In scale, it is comparable to Germany’s IFA and even the US Consumer Electronics Show. In September, the exhibition takes place alongside electronicAsia, a trade fair for information technology and communications. Both events are organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and MMI Asia Pte Ltd.
Another Low-Profile Power Supply, 12 V 20 A
24-08-2019, 20:57
This is my third power supply review, and this time it’s a 240 W, 12 V model. It’s very similar to the previous one: low-profile, budget-friendly, and another invitation to play roulette. Still, it’s best to read the review to find out all about it, roulette included.
High-current LG ICR18650-HB3 batteries
These batteries are high-current models, but they’re also budget-friendly, with a capacity of just 1500 mAh and a lower price than higher-capacity cells like the VTC5, HE4, and so on. Unfortunately, they’re no longer available for sale, although this may only be temporary. I think you may be able to find them in other stores, too.
Fivi AE607 TWS Earbud: My First Attempt Was Definitely Not a Flop
23-08-2019, 22:07
Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing my thoughts on using my very first TWS earbud—yes, an earbud, not a pair. It’s one that I’ve really enjoyed using.
Low-Profile S-120-24 Power Supply, 24 V, 120 W
22-08-2019, 22:05
The second power supply sent by Banggood for review, and accordingly more powerful than the previous one. The only thing they probably have in common is that both power supplies are low-profile. As always, the review goes into more detail, with an inspection, teardown, tests, and of course, conclusions..

One of the readers tipped me off about some pretty good prices on useful little items, as well as a couple of popular multimeters. Thought they might come in handy for someone. As more useful items turn up, they may be added to this post.
LG ICR18650-HE4 Batteries
Another battery in the high-current category, with a rated continuous discharge current of 20 A. It is essentially a competitor to the well-known Murata VTC5, although it falls slightly behind in terms of load performance. Still, it's best to check out the full review, which includes tests and a comparison chart.
Multimeter probes + tip set
21-08-2019, 02:56
I don't think I'm far off the mark if I say that many people who use multimeters have had to buy probes for one sooner or later. Sometimes it's to replace old ones, sometimes to improve performance, and sometimes to make measurements more convenient. I wanted to make my main UT181A a little more convenient to use too, so today I'm reviewing a set of probes and tips.
Samsung ICR18650-22P batteries
Not long ago, I reviewed some fake batteries, including what was supposedly a genuine Samsung ICR18650-22P, but it had an old production date and arrived almost completely discharged. Today I'm reviewing new, genuine batteries of the same type, so there will be comparisons as well as measurements.
SANMIM GFA15A-5 power supply, 5 V, 15 W
19-08-2019, 11:41
Not long ago, Banggood sent me several different power supplies. They differ in almost every way: voltage, power, and manufacturer. I decided to test them and publish reviews in order of increasing power, so today I'm reviewing the first one. This power supply isn't very powerful, and it's compact, but I hope it's interesting. Of course, it's best to read the full review for all the details.
Beelink L55, a mini PC with an i3-5005U processor
14-08-2019, 15:49
Not long ago, Beelink released another new product: a compact computer with a Core i3 processor. Though, in my opinion, it’s hard to call a fifth-generation processor new, since it was developed quite a while ago. Still, this computer turned out to be pretty good in its own way. But you can read all about it in the review, which covers the inspection, teardown, tests, and conclusions, along with a summary table.
Universal Adjustable Voltage Converter Powered by USB with QC Mode Support
12-08-2019, 22:56
Not long ago, I ordered an interesting little gadget from AliExpress. I didn’t have any specific use in mind; I just bought it because it was inexpensive and had some unusual features. But as usual, you’re better off reading all about it in the review. I hope you find it interesting.
LiitoKala lii-35A-N or what lies beyond the barricades
Another battery review, but this time we'll see what's going on "on the dark side"—that is, among Chinese battery manufacturers and rewrappers. In this case, we're looking at Liitokala, a company known not only for its batteries and chargers, but also for how deftly it can turn one battery into another simply by changing the wrapper :)
High-current Samsung INR21700-40T battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh and a rated current of 35 A
The last battery from my test order at nkon, and I saved it for "dessert" because it’s not only a high-current battery, but also comes in the relatively new 21700 form factor, with a capacity of 4000 mAh. What’s more, today I’ll be testing it at currents above 30 A.
Xiaomi Gaming Mouse: Is It Really That Bad?
2-08-2019, 22:14
Hello everyone! I’d like to share my thoughts on a gaming mouse from Xiaomi that has left me with mixed feelings. I’ve been using it since April this year.
