Not long ago, I wrote that I’d ordered Atorch’s new BW600 electronic load. I’ve now received and tested it, and have also figured out some of the new version’s quirks. I found both advantages and drawbacks, and built a couple of new devices based on this controller.

While I’m waiting for my new electronic load, I decided to put together a quick review of another power supply. There’s nothing particularly new about it, but it may still be interesting in some ways—at least because I haven’t had one like this before.

I have two bits of news today. The first is good: the price of my favorite version of the load has been reduced for the sale. The second—well, I hope it’s good too :)

Today, this is less a review and more a demonstration of how Chinese manufacturers can build two very different power supplies on essentially the same platform.
