Even while writing the title, it felt a little unusual to describe a cable as “100 watts.” I’m more used to cables being rated by current, voltage, or wire gauge—but by power? Anyway, read on for the review and test of this 100 W PD cable.

I got the idea of modifying various uninterruptible power supplies—or, more specifically, switching them over to more modern batteries. To try it out, I ordered a few batteries, and today I’ll be doing not just a test but also a little investigation, if you can call it that.

I've had this hot air rework station sitting at home for a very long time. A friend lent it to me specifically for a review, but with the renovation going on, I just couldn't find the time. This review falls into the spontaneous category: I ordered the product without really planning to write about it. But I genuinely liked these batteries, so I ended up putting together a full review with tests. The information may well be useful to someone, since finding decent 14500 batteries on AliExpress turned out to be surprisingly difficult.

The last battery in this roundup from Basen, and this time it’s a model in the increasingly popular 21700 form factor. To some extent, this battery size is replacing the long-established 18650 cells, which have become, you could say, the “standard” for lithium batteries. I needed full-extension slides for one of my projects. They’re used all the time in ordinary furniture, and of course I would have just gone out and bought some at a store, especially since they cost around 2–5 dollars there. But there was a problem: I needed stainless steel slides. More on that in the review.
