Examining power supplies from Ukrainian stores, Part Three

I’ve finally reached the third and final part of my look at the power supplies available from specialist stores. This part will be relatively short, but I hope it’ll be interesting. As always, the best bit comes at the end :)

Ukraine's Power Supply Market, Part Two: Seven More Models

7701
10-10-2026, 14:24
Last time I covered three power supply models. Today there are as many as seven units under test, all bought from a different, but also fairly well-known store—"widely known in certain circles," so to speak.

Three at 100, or what’s happening in Ukraine’s switching power supply market, Part One

Today I’m starting a short series of reviews looking at what other power supplies are available in Ukraine. I’m not talking about random units listed on OLX or Prom, but products from fairly large sellers. Yes, sellers is the right word—I’d like to say manufacturers, of course, but I don’t know that many manufacturers, and they mostly focus on industrial models, though not always.

Sealed HCF Series Power Supplies, Revised Version

I’ve already reviewed some models from this series. Back then, we were given “prototypes”—just the circuit boards. This time, the power supplies differ from production units only in that they aren’t potted; they also incorporate the changes we recommended.
RK8009, the last of Riden’s five compact DC-DC converters
15-09-2026, 16:50
We’ve reached the last compact adjustable converter in the RK series. I have to say, Riden has pleasantly surprised me with this lineup: it covers a wide range of power and current ratings, includes an H-series model—a less powerful counterpart to the RD6012H—and also a model with an extended output range, which is what I’ll be looking at today.
RK6018 converter, the most powerful compact model
8-09-2026, 01:35
I've taken a look at another converter from Riden: the RK6018, which is advertised as delivering a full kilowatt of power. And yes, I think that's a record for something this size so far. Let's take a closer look and put it to the test.
RK6006H, an adjustable DC-DC converter with universal input.
6-09-2026, 13:43
Riden is really on a roll. I’d just finished reviewing their new RK6012 when they released three new models at once. I already have two of them at home, and the third is on its way. Honestly, I never expected them to bring so many new converters to market so quickly. Though, to be fair, I wouldn’t mind seeing an RD6036, first of all, and an electronic load from them as well.
A brief review of Riden’s flagship RD6030-Max power supply
3-09-2026, 02:01
I’ve already posted an unboxing video of the RD6030-max power supply, and said then that I’d write a short article about it too. But one thing led to another, and the article kept getting put off. I’ve finally found the time to pull everything together and tell you about it.
12 V and 24 V, 72 W power supplies: compact, powerful, and affordable
22-12-2025, 04:45
A while ago, AliExpress started showing me listings for the same power supply from different sellers. I had a project that called for exactly this kind of power supply, so I first bought a few to try out, then some more, and then more again. Before long, I was using these power supplies in production devices.
Atorch BW600, another addition to the DL24MP load lineup
27-07-2025, 03:26
Not long ago, I wrote that I’d ordered Atorch’s new BW600 electronic load. I’ve now received and tested it, and have also figured out some of the new version’s quirks. I found both advantages and drawbacks, and built a couple of new devices based on this controller.

A little about the new 120 A, 2.7 kW electronic load and Mibox enclosures

At the end of last year, I wrote about a 2,400 W electronic load. At the time, it was essentially a pilot unit ordered by one of my customers. After the New Year, I ordered several enclosures designed specifically for this version and decided to take it beyond the prototype stage—even if not into full production, at least to the next level.
UPS-1228-12 low-voltage universal UPS board, updated 15.05.24
30-04-2024, 16:56
One of my readers saw my comment about the low-voltage UPS board and suggested I review it, so he sent me this board. Given the current circumstances, these devices have become relevant again, so of course I agreed—especially since I was very interested in it myself.

Thematic catalog of blog reviews v1.0, updated 27.07.2023

I decided to do a bit of tidying up on the blog, check whether some product links are still current, and generally get things in order. There may be further changes as well. While doing all this, I noticed that some really interesting and still relevant reviews had been buried under others that are less on-topic for now. So I wanted to put together a guide, table of contents, or catalog—whatever you prefer. I’ve moved all my reviews, some articles, and a selection of the most useful reviews by other authors into this catalog.

Comprehensive review of 14 power supplies from the new revision

I've mentioned several times that we're not just trying to find decent power supplies among all the Chinese junk—we also send the factory recommendations for improvements when a power supply has no critical issues and is reasonably priced. So today, most of the models here are ones we received after they were modified to meet our requests.
A new converter model from Riden, RK6012
3-06-2026, 23:30
A couple of weeks ago, I contacted a Riden manager about a device. Things turned out to be a little more complicated with that one, although it’s already on its way to me. But he immediately offered me their new model to review, and I couldn’t say no, since I’ve reviewed pretty much all of their devices.
Atorch BW600 load switching board
28-05-2026, 03:05
About a year ago, I reviewed my Atorch load switching board. Then they released a new version of the load, followed later by a new switching board. I waited a long time, hoping someone would post decent photos for analysis, but nobody did, so I finally bought one at the end of last year.

5 V power supplies: 10, 25, 40, 100, 150, and a couple of 200 W models

This turned into a quick-fire roundup: seven power supplies at the same voltage, 5 V, but with different power ratings. These power supplies are often used to power addressable LED strips, LED displays, and similar things, but there’s nothing stopping you from using them for other purposes too.
Fnirsi LC1020E LCR Meter
20-05-2026, 21:06
Some time ago, I was asked to review an LCR meter from Fnirsi. I can’t say it was convenient for me, since my workload is very heavy, but in this case curiosity won out—especially since I’ve been using a similar instrument for quite a while and know that a lot of people bought one after reading my review. And as far as I can tell, the Fnirsi LC1020E has already been reviewed by quite a few authors, so my review will mostly just be an addition to what’s already out there.
