Hong Kong Electronics Fair in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is Asia’s exhibition capital. It hosts dozens of leading international trade fairs and conferences every year, many of them the largest of their kind in Asia. Thanks to Hong Kong’s visa-free entry and the wide range of topics covered, its trade fairs are among the most popular destinations for business trips among citizens of the CIS.
Hong Kong hosts the Hong Kong Electronics Fair every spring and autumn. In scale, it is comparable to Germany’s IFA and even the US Consumer Electronics Show.
In September, the exhibition takes place alongside electronicAsia, a trade fair for information technology and communications. Both events are organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and MMI Asia Pte Ltd.
Since the 1980s, thousands of visitors from around the world have attended the Hong Kong International Electronics Fair. For example, in 2018, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair and electronicAsia together welcomed around 87,000 buyers from 139 countries.
Assistant robots, CNC machines and 3D printers, video surveillance systems and electric vehicles—all the hardware industry’s latest trends can be found in the exhibition halls.
And don’t forget: you can do more than just look at the exhibits—you can try them out, too. Throughout all four days of the fair, visitors take the controls of drones and robots, and test virtual reality devices and brain-computer interfaces.
As usual, the available exhibition space is divided into the following sections:
Tech Hall: 3D printing, robotics and unmanned technologies, smart technologies, virtual reality.
Startup Hall: International startups will showcase their innovations, from apps and smart home products to wearable electronics, the Internet of Things, healthcare electronics, and more.
A series of events will provide an ideal platform for presenting ideas, sharing experience, mentoring, and investment meetings.
Hall of Fame will showcase trending products from more than 560 popular global brands.
Other themed zones include I-World, portable electronics, medical electronics, audiovisual products, personal electronics, and many more.
You can visit the exhibition for free as part of an international group, with bonuses for international business visitors. Registration is open on the partner website. Without advance registration, a ticket costs 100 HKD (over 800 RUB).
