No, friends, this isn't actually a coupon or a sale. I was just browsing AliExpress and happened to stumble across a model of adjustable converter I hadn't seen before.

I was originally just looking for various power supplies. AliExpress showed me a link to this converter, among other things, and everything would have been fine if not for two "buts".
While cropping the photo, I noticed that the power supply has the Fnirsi logo, but the store selling it isn't Fnirsi. More interestingly, this converter isn't listed in the official store of the same name!

I'd like to discuss what this unknown beast is, and as a starting point, here's the product page description and what I've dug up.

First off, it's a converter in an enclosure, not a board or panel like RuiDeng's power supplies (I'm not criticizing them, just stating a fact).

Brief specifications
Input voltage: 6–70 V
Output voltage: 0–60 V (Note: Make sure the input voltage is at least 1.1 times the output voltage)
Output current: 0–6 A
Output power: 0–360 W
Voltage resolution: 0.01 V, accuracy: ±0.3% + 3 counts
Current resolution: 0.001 A, accuracy: ±0.5% + 5 counts
Output ripple: 100 mV peak-to-peak, typical

It's a step-down converter, so to get the full output voltage you need to supply at least 65 V at the input. The manufacturer specifies that the input must be 10% higher than the output.
Its specs are similar to the RD6006.

It's quite compact

You can power it either with a regular power supply or one with a PD output, though in the latter case, the power will be limited by the primary power supply's output.

The screen displays all the current measurements and settings. It's pretty much what you'd expect; I'd even call it minimalist.

It supports the two familiar operating modes: constant-voltage (CV) and constant-current (CC). There's no full-fledged battery charging function.

The screen image can be rotated 90 degrees for use with the unit installed vertically. Unfortunately, the control buttons stay where they are, so I don't think this mode is very useful.

The firmware can be updated.

According to another website., the package includes a USB cable for firmware updates and power leads with terminals and alligator clips. There's also a video on that site.

There's also an actual photo of the rear panel

And a photo of the front, which gives a better idea of its size.

There's also a screenshot of the control software, but since the website is Chinese, the software is in Chinese too. Whether there's an English version is unknown, though I assume there is.

As expected, batteries can only be charged in CC/CV mode, with no automatic cutoff once they're fully charged.

Since the link above is to a review, the person who wrote it also listed the pros and cons (Google translation).
Advantages
1. Comprehensive input interface. It has three input interfaces: DC, PD, and banana, making it widely applicable. Compared with similar products, it has an additional PD input interface that supports up to 80 W. When some power supplies and chargers are used to power it, there's no PD handshake issue.
2. Great value for money. It costs less than 200, and its performance and functionality are better than those of similarly priced products on the market.

Suggestions for improvement and updates
1. There's a noticeable gap between the front panel and the body due to differences in materials and design. It's a minor issue, and I hope it can be improved in the future.
2. A few too many buttons. The functions of the "and" V/A keys could actually be combined with the mode and programming keys, as on the original DC5005L. The space saved could be used for additional output interfaces.
3. The programming button partly blocks the "" keys below it, making operation a little awkward. It should be swapped with the "" keys.
4. After connecting to the host computer, you can only turn on the host computer. The ON/OFF button on the CNC power supply itself doesn't work. I hope new firmware can fix this.
5. Change the host computer interface to Type-C.
6. Finally, it would be better if it had a modular design compatible with our previous products, such as the DC-5005L and DC-580. The entire housing, input sections, and heat-dissipation parts are used as expansion modules, while the front display and working sections are removable modules that can be used separately.

What is this, another “RuiDeng converter killer,” or more “testing on cats,” with customers serving as the test subjects? Hard to say. It looks pretty good, though a little “gypsy-style”—some chrome-plated buttons—but functionally it seems decent.
Why isn’t it on Fnirsi’s official page? I think it’s the same situation as with RuiDeng converters: they first show up on Taobao, and only a month later on AliExpress. In this case, a seller from an unknown store simply moved a little faster than the manufacturer itself.

As I wrote at the very beginning, I have no connection whatsoever with either the manufacturer or the store mentioned. This isn’t a promotion, a discount, or a coupon, and I’m not being paid to promote it. I just spotted a new product, that’s all.

To answer the question of whether there’ll be a review: almost certainly not, because:
1. I’m not going to buy one; I already have plenty of different converters and power supplies.
2. I don’t want to ask for one to review, since shipping from the Fnirsi store takes a very long time to reach me.
