Today I have an ATS on my desk—short for Automatic Transfer Switch. In simple terms, it’s a device that automates the switch from the main line to a backup line if a problem occurs with the main supply. And since this is a microcontroller-based device, it naturally offers more features and capabilities, which is what I’ll cover in this review.
