Voltmeter with a 0.56-inch display.
$3.29
This review overlaps with my review of the ammeter, since both were ordered from the same seller.
Price per unit (I bought them at a discount); I ordered a pair.
Those of you who read my reviews are probably getting tired of the long ones, so this review will follow the same minimalist style as the packaging for these meters.
It even outdid the ammeter packaging in minimalism—
Front view. The overall finish is pretty good.
The back looks fine too—nothing alarming, and everything is neat and tidy.
The seller lists the following specifications—
Measured voltage: 0–99.9 V
Voltmeter supply voltage: 3–30 V
Accuracy class: 1% + 1 digit.
The dimensions are the same as the ammeter—
Panel cutout: 45 × 26 mm; outer dimensions: 48 × 29 mm; overall depth: 20 mm.
The voltmeter's own current consumption is 16 mA when displaying 0.0 (the insignificant leading digit is switched off automatically; the ammeter doesn't do this).
But I didn't buy them just for their size. First and foremost, they're measuring instruments, so I had to check their accuracy.
I compared the voltage readings against a calibrated multimeter (not officially, of course—the meter isn't worth that much).
So, as you can see (I hope you can, since the photos didn't turn out very well), these voltmeters performed much better than the ammeters I tested earlier.
You could even say they restored the seller's good name, if it weren't for one BUT.
The order specified green displays.
To sum up:
The meters are fit for their intended purpose; you can actually use them as measuring instruments, unlike the display-only gadgets from my previous review.
The build quality is very good—even the flux has been washed off.
But this seller is quite a character: he managed to mess up all three of my orders.
Here he sent 9 boards out of 10.
Here the meters arrived simply not working.
And in this case, he got the color wrong.
And while the faulty ammeter was probably not the seller's fault, the short shipment and wrong color were clearly due to his carelessness.
I hope this review helps someone decide whether or not to buy these meters, and from whom.
