Vapcell P50 21700 5000mAh 15A/25A batteries

So what makes these particular batteries interesting? They can deliver up to 15 A and have a capacity of around 5 Ah. For example, in power tools, a 5S2P pack can deliver up to 30 A and 500 W, with a capacity of 10 Ah.
Or consider the increasingly popular electric transport market: bicycles, scooters, hoverboards, and so on.
But I won’t get sidetracked. Let’s get to the review.

Sometimes I feel like this company’s battery lineup is endless, and many of the cells look very similar, so of course there’s bound to be some repetition in the descriptions. So, once again, I’ll mention that these come wrapped in red heat-shrink tubing, with a label for checking authenticity and a brief summary of the specifications.

The dimensions and weight are also typical for batteries of this form factor.

They arrived with about a 30% charge. After the “normalization” cycle, I got roughly the capacity they claim.

Like many other batteries, these support two charging modes: standard at 2 A and fast at 4 A.
Yes, high-capacity batteries need more careful handling, so even 4 A—which is less than 1C—is already considered a high charging current.
In standard mode, charging takes 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Even in fast mode, though, charging still takes more than an hour and a half.

One thing I like about Vapcell is that they test the batteries they sell themselves.

I tested these batteries at discharge rates of 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, and 3C, where C = 5 A.
At 0.2C, I measured 4972mAh, or exactly 18Wh.

The battery didn’t get particularly hot during testing. Below are the results at 10 and 15 A. It’s worth noting, though, that high-capacity batteries are more sensitive to temperature than high-current ones.

The second sample produced almost identical results, which presumably indicates that it’s a genuine product.

Here I measured the temperature at 5, 10, and 15 A, just to be on the safe side.

And yes, the graph comparing the cells’ characteristics shows that they match very closely. Below are the results at 0.2, 1, and 3C.

As always, I measured the impedance on arrival, after “normalization,” and once more at the end, although in this case the last measurement isn’t particularly meaningful.

Vapcell’s page includes a graph comparing this battery with the well-known Samsung 50G and LG M50 at 15 A.

My graph will be considerably more comprehensive. The comparison includes:
Samsung 50G
Samsung 50E
LG M50T
Vapcell T50 (presumably Samsung 50S)
The results are quite interesting. The P50 cells under review are similar to the Samsung 50G, but both the P50 and 50G fall noticeably behind the Vapcell T50.

Conclusions.
These are decent batteries and, by all indications, genuine. Their specifications are similar to the Samsung 50G, although the graphs show some differences.
As always, I have to complain about the price. For now, though, I’d at least suggest that Vapcell start offering a choice of ordering them with or without a case.
That’s all. I hope you found this useful. I’d like to ask: what kind of batteries do you think Vapcell used this time?
