Cosmetics Organizers and a Quick-Witted Seller
Today’s review is one of those that lets me take a break from chips, circuit boards, and other bits of hardware.
At first, I planned to order a couple of organizers from different sellers. But then I saw that one seller had both models, figured it would be easier, and ordered them from the same seller.
The seller pleasantly surprised me by shipping the next day.
According to the listing, the order was sent without tracking, but just 10 days later I got a text from the post office saying a registered parcel had arrived. I checked the listing: the tracking number was just digits, but the parcel arrived with a proper tracking number. A mystery.
I was really pleased with the delivery speed. My record so far is 8 and 9 days, and this parcel almost beat it :)
Everything was packed in one box, with extra cardboard padding (if only they shipped my batteries like that).
Inside were two neat little boxes, differing on the outside only in the picture and model number.
Each organizer was also wrapped in plastic.
As you’ve probably guessed, I ordered two organizers of different types.
The first is model EQC352, priced at $6.90, link.
Dimensions: 173 × 94 × 65 mm
Material: transparent plastic.
This organizer has one large compartment (79 × 83 mm), two medium ones (39 × 28), and six small ones (25 × 25 mm).
The second organizer is model EQC369, priced at $6.76, link.
This one is a little smaller: 171 × 92 × 64 mm
It has compartments in five different sizes; I can measure any of them if needed.
I really like the build quality: neat and attractive.
Because the plastic is transparent and reflects the flash quite a bit, the photos didn’t turn out very well :(
A few photos of the individual parts.
As I mentioned above, I like the quality. All the edges are slightly rounded, and nothing is sharp.
The seller describes the material as acrylic (essentially plexiglass), but I think it’s just clear plastic, injection-molded.
Either way, it looks neat.
And of course, a photo of what it looks like in real life, with things in it.
The small compartments work well for lipstick, the slightly larger ones for nail polish, and the tall ones for mascara or brushes.
The large compartment can hold powder or some other small items.
The second one is more suitable for lipsticks. The small compartments are arranged in two rows, with the inner row raised above the front one. I thought this would be convenient, but my wife said it was the other way around—she thought they would be easier to use if they were all at the same level.
This one also has a large compartment, but its sides are higher, which makes it more convenient in some ways than the previous one.
Of course, people usually have far more cosmetics than can fit in organizers like these.
Their main purpose is more decorative, or to hold the cosmetics you use most often and want to keep close at hand.
At the very beginning, I said this review was for women.
Actually, I think it's more for men, since the holidays are coming up and you might want to get your better half a nice gift (or something to add to the main gift).
I think most women would like an organizer like this.
I won't list the pros and cons; I'll just say that I personally liked both the product and the packaging and delivery.
