Some time ago, a manager from the vapesourcing store contacted me and offered to try out their new product and, of course, write a review. Since I smoke, I decided to give it a try rather than turn it down, especially as the device itself is somewhat unusual, and I hadn't come across any reviews of one like it. To be fair, I should say right away that the last time I tried vaping was about 3–3.5 years ago, but it didn't really grab me, so this review will be more of a "beginner's" perspective than that of an experienced vaper.

I should say up front that I've been smoking for a very long time. It's a bad habit, and if you don't smoke, don't start—it's definitely not going to do you any good, 100%. And if you can quit, do it at the first opportunity.

So, I received a very neat little box with a sticker saying it was a sample and not for sale. Well, that makes it twice as interesting.
Below is a list of what's included in the package.

The website says the package also includes a gift, but there wasn't one in my case, presumably because the product was sent for review.

I give the packaging a solid five out of five: everything is very neatly presented, and this set would make a perfectly respectable gift.

The device was nestled in a snug tray, with nothing rattling around.

The package includes:
1. An electronic cigarette, or box mod, if I'm using the right term.
2. USB-to-microUSB cable
3. 1.3 Ω coil (installed)
4. 0.2 Ω coil
5. Amor NS Plus tank
6. Manual
7. Mouthpiece
8. Belt clip.
9. Set of rubber seals

In fact, some of the items were combined and supplied assembled—for example, the tank, mouthpiece, and coil.
Most of the small parts were in a separate box.

Kudos to the manufacturer for providing a proper manual: it not only illustrates everything, but is also written in decent Russian, which is quite rare.
The package also included a reference card listing compatible coil types and explaining how they differ.

The parts that came in the separate box.

1. USB-to-microUSB cable, nothing special.
2. Four spare rubber O-rings: two for the tank (different sizes) and two small ones for the mouthpiece.
3, 4. An additional 40–80 W coil with a 0.2 Ω coil resistance.

And here's the device we're reviewing, with the tank, coil, and mouthpiece already installed.

It comes in three color options: black, orange, and silver.

The only visible difference between the two sides is that one has the manufacturer's name on it. A rubber impact guard runs around the perimeter.

You can also buy guards in different colors separately; the included one is black.

One side of the body has a display, four buttons, and a connector for the charger.

Since the device is marketed as rugged, the microUSB port is covered by a rubber plug. The cap fits very tightly, so I think it should easily withstand the pressure of water from a tap.

There are four more buttons on the opposite end, which set this model apart from the others.
The device has a built-in Bluetooth speaker, and the buttons let you control track playback on your smartphone, pause playback, and adjust the volume. The bottom button is the power button.
When you turn it on and connect it, it speaks a few phrases in English. For incoming calls, it announces the caller's number, also in English, but reads it one digit at a time rather than as a whole number.

The tank is already installed, and its color matches the mouthpiece and the body.

The tank fits snugly, but the threads turn easily, so it's simple to screw on and remove, although you don't have to do it very often.

I like the tank design. The lid slides open easily for filling, and everything fits together very well. I can't compare it with anything else yet, but it seems pretty good to me.

Instructions from the manufacturer

Before vaping, open the air intake holes.

The tank almost completely disassembled.

And a schematic view

As I mentioned, the kit included two heating coils, with resistances of 1.3 ohms (8–14 W) and 0.2 ohms (40–80 W). They differ not only in resistance but also in design. The higher-power one has a triple coil, at least according to the specs; visually, I could see two wires. It also has a metal mesh at the top.

I tried both types of coil, and I personally much preferred the lower-power one, so I ordered a set of 5 from AliExpress just in case. I also tried the 0.2-ohm coil at different power levels, but it just wasn't for me: not enough vapor, harsh on the throat, no enjoyment at all. But this is very subjective.

The controller supports all the common vaping modes (select a mode by pressing the Fire button three times)
1. Power mode
2. Direct battery output
3. Temperature control
TC-Ni – temperature control using a nickel coil.
TC-Ti – temperature control using a titanium coil.
TC-SS – temperature control using a stainless steel coil.
4. Three customizable modes, M1–M3

When you replace the coil, a message appears saying that the coil has been replaced. Pressing the Fire button twice brings up the option to turn the logo display on or off, but I didn't see a logo in either case.

The screen shows the battery charge indicator, coil resistance, output voltage, and output current. It also displays the output power or temperature (depending on the mode) and the operating mode.

In vaping mode—or, more precisely, when you hold down the Fire button with a temperature-control mode selected—the coil temperature is displayed.

There are also several additional modes and lock options:
1. Pressing the Fire button 20 times while the device is off displays the firmware version. As far as I know, the firmware on devices like this can be updated, but I haven't tried it yet. Everything works great as it is.
2. Hold down "-" and Fire at the same time to display the battery voltage with no load.
3. Pressing the Fire button 10 times while the device is off displays the temperature inside the body.
4. Hold down "+" and "-"; after a few seconds, the display flips 180 degrees. I think this will be handy for left-handed users.
5, 6. Locking the power adjustment buttons: hold them both down for a few seconds.
7. TC settings: hold down "+" and Fire while the device is off.
8, 9. Locking the power setting in wattage mode: hold down "-" and Fire for 2 seconds while the device is on.

If you hold down "+" and Fire while the device is on. so you can choose what is displayed in the lower-left field: current, the number of times the Fire button has been pressed, or the total time it has been held down.

Since the device has a battery, I measured its capacity out of curiosity, too. But first, I should say that power consumption in vaping mode depends heavily on the operating mode, while in Bluetooth speaker mode it is very modest. For a few days, just out of curiosity, I took it with me to the apartment where I'm doing renovations, and it played at full volume there. It lasted about 15 hours of continuous use, if not more, since I didn't time it precisely.
Bluetooth mode works independently and has an auto-off function if no data is received from the smartphone for a while.

When connected to a charger, an animated battery symbol appears on the screen and charging begins. The charging current is about 1.6–1.7 A.
According to the tester, it took about 2.45 Ah to charge, and a full charge took about two hours.

As you can imagine, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't take this device apart, especially since it should contain some interesting things, like a battery and a converter.
First, remove the rubber protective cover.

Inside, you can see the buttons—or, more precisely, the button actuators, since the actual buttons are inside and the design is meant to be protected.
I found a reset button to the right of the USB port, which I hadn't noticed during my initial inspection.

Next, I remove the four small self-tapping screws and take off the case cover. The screws were incredibly tight. At one point I started worrying that I'd strip the heads—and I would have, if I hadn't used a decent screwdriver.

Inside, I found a fairly large 3 W speaker with a 4 Ω voice coil. For some reason, I thought it would be flat and compact.

And here's why the screws were so hard to remove: they're glued in place from the inside. Most likely, adhesive was poured into the holes first, and then the screws were driven in. This keeps them from coming loose and makes the joint reasonably watertight.
There's also a rubber seal around the perimeter, so the claim that the speaker can be submerged in water doesn't seem all that far-fetched.

The Bluetooth board with the power amplifier, and the battery. The battery is rated at 2.1 Ah, and given that it took 2.45 Ah to charge, we can reasonably assume that the stated capacity is accurate.

The battery has a somewhat unusual form factor. I suspect it's made from two cells, although single batteries in this shape are also available. Judging by the case dimensions, it was originally designed to hold two 18650 batteries, but the Bluetooth speaker feature meant they had to cut back on the vape hardware.

The control and power board is installed on the other side of the battery.

The power section: you can see the inductor, several power transistors under a shared heatsink, and the output capacitors.
While inspecting and using it, I kept thinking about turning a device like this into a soldering iron :) Why not? It has a battery and a powerful converter, and even a convenient screw connector is already installed on the case. It's strange that nobody's made one yet :(

I had no complaints about the ergonomics, except that I can mention accidentally pressing the Bluetooth button a couple of times. But since you have to hold it down for several seconds to turn it on, the chances of that happening aren't very high.
Otherwise, it's quite comfortable and ergonomic. It doesn't slip in your hand, and the Fire button falls right under your finger.

Video versions of the reviews. First, here's the manufacturer's video, which also shows the Bluetooth speaker working underwater.

And here's mine, though this review is noticeably more modest.

And now, as usual, the conclusions.
For the presentation—that is, the packaging and appearance—I can give it five points. Everything is neat, with nothing unnecessary.
For ease of use, also five points. I don't think accidentally turning on Bluetooth a couple of times should count against it.
The performance was also trouble-free. The speaker is quite loud and sounds good, but there's not much headroom. If the track is recorded at a high level, everything is great, but if the recording is quiet, you can't turn it up any further. So, four-plus here.
The included accessories only earn it four points. Overall, everything is pretty good too: it comes with an extra heater, spare rubber rings, a clip, and a manual. But there is one significant drawback: there’s no protective cap for the mouthpiece. The thing is, this device is designed for tough conditions, which means it may also be exposed to dirt, dust, and so on. A cap is really essential, since all that dirt and dust will end up on the mouthpiece.

Overall, I think it’s an interesting device. I can’t really comment on the price; judging by what’s inside, it seems a bit high to me, but I don’t have anything to compare it with yet, so I’ll leave that judgment to you. I can say that I use the device and plan to keep using it, because I like it. As it turned out, even the speaker function has come in handy.

That’s all. I hope you found the review useful, and as always, I’ll be happy to answer any questions.

Так от мощности нагревателя зависит, если без фанатизма, то нормально. Но вообще да, хотелось бы побольше.
Изначально думал, что внутри 2шт 18650 и плоский динамик, оказалось что динамик занимает половину корпуса.
