Powerful electronic load based on the DL24 board and a new power module — updated
6-11-2023, 00:01
Not long ago, I featured a new power module in several of my videos. You may also have seen the backstory behind it in a few other reviews. I can now say that the project has reached a kind of logical conclusion. Though, to me, a conclusion is really an opportunity to improve on what came before and start something new, perhaps even more interesting.
T2S Plus, a thermal imaging camera attachment with macro mode, compared with Hti
20-10-2023, 20:39
I've been using thermal imaging cameras for a long time. My first one was a very basic model with a resolution of 60x60. I later replaced it with an HT-A2 with a resolution of 320x240, and today I'm reviewing a model with a resolution of 256x192. It might look like a downgrade, but is it really?
FNIRSI-FNB58 USB Tester: A Metrology-Focused Review
17-10-2023, 15:46
Almost a year after this model came out, I finally got my hands on one. It was inevitable—I enjoy tinkering with this kind of thing. There are already tons of reviews of this model, so I decided to look at it as a measuring instrument and, more simply, check its measurement accuracy.
Owon CM2100 clamp multimeter with standalone data logger

An interesting little device has landed in my hands: a clamp meter with 1 mA resolution and Bluetooth connectivity. As usual, I’ll take a look, run some tests, take it apart, and share my conclusions.
Atorch DL24EW Electronic Load
16-06-2023, 14:30
About a month ago, I posted a preview of a new version of the electronic load from Atorch. I’d already reviewed a couple of their devices, and they’ve updated it a couple of times since then, but somehow I never got around to testing and reviewing it. Now I’ve got the latest version of their device, the DL24EW, in my hands.
DL24EW: Preview of the updated version of Atorch’s popular electronic load
7-05-2023, 14:42
I’ve already reviewed two electronic loads made by Atorch. I can’t say they were all that great, but I can’t say they were bad either. That said, I’ve noticed that each new version of their products gets better. While I wait for mine to arrive for review, I thought I’d put together a short preview.

Rulers: different and unusual

This isn’t a review, or even just a test. I’ve come across some unusual rulers (at least in my opinion), and today I’d like to show them to you. Maybe some of you have even used rulers like these.

Another measuring instrument. It’s not quite as original as the previous one, and it was made in a specialized factory, but I liked it all the same.

Today I’m reviewing a rather unusual measuring instrument. I saw it at a friend’s place and couldn’t resist showing it to you. I hope you find it interesting.
Single-phase WiFi eWelink relay rated at 63 A
23-02-2022, 23:52
In my previous review, I covered a powerful relay with WiFi remote control and a few other "bells and whistles". I also mentioned that I’d review another relay, and I’ve now finished testing it and can share the results and my conclusions.
DDS238-2 wattmeter, energy meter, WiFi-controlled relay rated for up to 65 A
21-02-2022, 15:43
I love all kinds of interesting electrical gadgets, so I ordered a couple of different ones to try out, compare with others, and tell you about. Today I'm reviewing the first one: a WiFi-controlled relay.
Atorch DL24M 600 W Electronic Load Kit
26-09-2021, 22:30
Not long ago, I posted some information about the relatively new DL24M electronic load, a follow-up to the DL24, which I reviewed about a year ago. When I posted about the DL24M, AliExpress was having a sale, so I bought one for myself, and today I want to tell you about it.
DL24M electronic load in a modular design, almost like Lego (not a review)
22-08-2021, 23:44
It's been a while since I wrote a "not a review," and a friend just sent me a link to a new product from Atorch, the logical continuation of the DL24 series. I wrote about it earlier in a similar "not a review" and in a more in-depth article with an example of how to build a power module for it. So today, here's a brief announcement of their new product.
HT-A2 thermal imager with a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels
18-05-2021, 12:05
About five years ago, I published a review of a thermal imager, and now it’s time to update it. I looked at various models, but in the end decided on the HT-A2 from Hti. I ordered one, received it, used it for a while, and decided to put together a short review.
OB-215 Digital I/O Module by Novatek-Electro
14-05-2021, 10:51
Another module from Novatek. This time, I'll take a look at a device for reading measurements from various types of sensors and using them in automation systems, with the option to send the data to a PC as well. Inspection, teardown, tests, conclusions.
Bluetooth module for the Fnirsi FNB48 USB tester and a brief look at the software
27-01-2021, 17:16
Not long ago, I posted a review of the new Fnirsi FNB48 USB tester and mentioned that both a Bluetooth module and software for it were expected. I received the module quite a while ago, but the software only arrived now, just as promised, so today I'm adding to my previous review.
New from Fnirsi: FNB48 USB tester
28-12-2020, 02:42
Some time ago, news emerged of a new FNB48 USB tester from Fnirsi, a young but fast-growing company. I thought this model looked interesting, so I decided to order one for a review. I was also curious to compare it with other testers, such as the rather expensive ZY1276 from YZXstudio.
Atorch DL24, an inexpensive electronic load with four-wire connection
26-11-2020, 04:57
Some time ago, I announced a new product from Atorch, the DL24 electronic load. But calling this device new is a bit of a stretch; it would be more accurate to call it a budget version, without a heatsink included and with a maximum power limit of 1000 W.
