In my review of an inductive balancer, I mentioned that capacitive balancers also exist. They transfer energy from one cell to another by charging and discharging capacitors. These balancers usually cost more, but thanks to one of my readers, I got my hands on one.

I recently published a review of the Samsung INR21700-50G batteries, where I also wrote that these cells offered the best capacity/size/maximum current ratio. But I recently finished testing other batteries of the same size and realized I was wrong last time: it turns out there are batteries with even higher capacity and maximum current.

High-current batteries in the very unusual 20650 form factor caught my interest mainly because of their size, and partly because of their discharge current of up to 30 A. Tests, comparisons, all the usual stuff.
