I only recently posted a review of the Mean Well HDR-60-12 power supply, and today I'm reviewing its larger "sibling". It's very similar, but it also has a few features of its own. Both power supplies share the same form factor and output voltage—though I'm getting ahead of myself. More on that in the review.

Today I'm reviewing another power supply made by Mean Well. This time, it's a model designed for mounting on a DIN rail. I've already reviewed a similar power supply, but that one was intended for industrial use. This time, I'll show you a more "home-friendly" version. Inspection, schematic, tests—as always.

Not long ago, I promised a review explaining how to add digital control to a linear power supply board. Keeping that promise, today I’m posting a review of the board itself, along with some drawings, the schematic, firmware, and, for the real enthusiasts, the source code.

I needed a small-capacity drive to run a Linux server. After comparing the prices of HDDs and solid-state drives, I chose a budget 32 GB Goldenfir SSD and would like to offer you a brief review of it.

So, today I have the third of six power supplies sent to me by one of my readers. This time, it’s a relatively compact and inexpensive power supply. I’d even say it belongs to the budget range, since in some ways it’s noticeably simpler than the previous ones. But simpler doesn’t always mean worse, and I’ll try to show and explain all of that in this review. Anyway, if you’re interested in branded power supplies, I think you’ll find something new here.

Recently, I published a review of a kit for building an adjustable linear power supply with an output voltage of up to 60 V and current of up to 20 A (at least in theory). Today I’m reviewing a product from the same seller and the same series, but this time it’s not a kit—just a standalone module that can also be used with the control board from the previous kit. But I’ll cover everything in more detail in the review. I’ll also include the schematic for the relay module from the previous review.

Today's review covers a topic that's quite familiar to radio amateurs. There are plenty of reviews of adjustable power supplies, as well as kits for building them. I've posted a couple of similar reviews myself. But today's kit is a little unusual, both in terms of power and circuit design. Of course, radio amateurs have used all these approaches many times before, but this is the first time I've come across them all together in a kit, so that's what I'm going to talk about.

A little over a month ago, I published a review of the AlldoCube Power M3 4G tablet, and today I have its near-identical copy, the VOYO i8 Pro 4G, in my hands. The tablets are indeed very similar, at least on paper, but are they really the same in practice?

Many of you know how much I enjoy taking a closer look at different power supplies. This time, I have a somewhat unusual power supply on my bench—at least, I haven't tested one like this before. In fact, I don't recall ever seeing a review of this type of power supply, even though it's an interesting design, and I've built similar power supplies myself in the past. I decided to order it purely out of curiosity, thinking it might come in handy. More on that in the review.

So, today I have the second review in a series of reviews of power supplies made by Mean Well. This time I chose an open-frame power supply, i.e. a board without an enclosure. As with the last one, it has its own little “twist,” but you can read all about it in the review, which, as usual, includes tests, oscilloscope traces, and conclusions. All in all, I think anyone interested in good power supplies won’t be disappointed.

Just a few days ago, I posted a review of an advanced "USB tester," but it wasn't the only thing in the package: there was also its closest equivalent, a tester from Power-Z. The two testers have a lot in common, and even cost the same, but are they really that similar in use?

I've already posted reviews of two basic USB testers. Though, in my opinion, the very term “USB tester” is rather vague. But this time I have a much more advanced device in my hands, one that can reasonably be called a measuring instrument.

I’ve come across computers and TV boxes made by Minix in reviews many times, but this is the first time I’ve had one of the company’s computers on my desk. I’ve read quite a few good reviews of this manufacturer’s devices, but I’ve also had a fair number of computers from other brands pass through my hands, so I was doubly interested to see whether Minix really is any better. Inspection, teardown, tests, summary table, conclusions.

A brief review of a relatively small drive from an unknown (at least to me) company, RECADATA. Nothing extraordinary, just a small SSD. Inspection, tests, and conclusions.

Not long ago, I published a review of a high-quality power supply from the well-known company Mean Well. Today it’s the turn of another “test subject.” In this case, I have an industrial model designed for mounting on a DIN rail on my workbench. Let’s take a look, take it apart, and test it—business as usual.
