Not long ago, I reviewed VariCore 32700 LiFePO4 batteries. At the end, I mentioned that I’d ordered the same batteries from the same store, but under the Liitokala brand. The batteries have now arrived and been tested, and, most importantly, I was able to compare them with the previous ones. It turns out there’s a significant difference. I recently posted a review of 32700-size LiFePO4 batteries, but as you can imagine, you can't use batteries without a protection board, so I ordered one too. Since I had it on hand, I put together a short review in case it might be useful to someone.

I got the idea of modifying various uninterruptible power supplies—or, more specifically, switching them over to more modern batteries. To try it out, I ordered a few batteries, and today I’ll be doing not just a test but also a little investigation, if you can call it that.

This review falls into the spontaneous category: I ordered the product without really planning to write about it. But I genuinely liked these batteries, so I ended up putting together a full review with tests. The information may well be useful to someone, since finding decent 14500 batteries on AliExpress turned out to be surprisingly difficult.

The last battery in this roundup from Basen, and this time it’s a model in the increasingly popular 21700 form factor. To some extent, this battery size is replacing the long-established 18650 cells, which have become, you could say, the “standard” for lithium batteries. Another pair of Basen batteries, but unlike the more familiar 18650 form factor, these are larger, in the 26650 size, and naturally have a higher capacity: 4.5 Ah. Inspection, tests, conclusions.
