RD6012P(W) Hybrid Adjustable Voltage Converter
19-12-2021, 12:07
I’ve already posted an announcement for this converter model, which is an evolution of the previous 6006P model, differing mainly in its lower output current and power. Several readers have already asked me about this model. Well, it arrived, I took a look, tested it, and formed an opinion.
Gospower G0966A-540-0278 power supply, 54 V 2.78 A (64 V 6 A)
16-12-2021, 04:04
I recently reviewed the Mean Well EPP-500-54 power supply and mentioned that I had ordered two power supplies. Today I'm reviewing the second one, which was also originally intended for the RD6006 converter.
Mean Well EPP-500-54 Power Supply
7-12-2021, 16:35
I’d wanted to buy this power supply for a long time, but one thing or another kept getting in the way. And now, at last, it’s in my hands. I’ll say right away that I like it, although it does have a few minor quirks.
Compact OVEN BP60A-S power supply for automation cabinets
17-11-2021, 11:38
Another power supply from OVEN: 24 V again, with an extended temperature range again, but unlike the previous one, it has lower power and is much smaller. So, let's continue our discussion of panel-mounted equipment from domestic manufacturers.
RuiDeng RD6012P adjustable hybrid converter, the next model in the RD6006P series (not a review)
9-11-2021, 14:18
It’s been just under a year since RuiDeng announced the previous version of its hybrid power supply, and now the developers have finally released a new model I’ve been waiting for: the same kind of hybrid converter, but with an output current of up to 12 A. Today’s “not a review” will include a brief announcement, a description, the differences, real photos of the device, and, I hope, a discussion of the new model in the comments.
Power supply for harsh environments BP120B-D9-24C from Owen
5-11-2021, 11:09
I’ve already reviewed plenty of power supplies and devices made both in China and here at home. But today I’ll be testing a power supply from Owen, a well-known company that develops and manufactures industrial automation equipment. Let’s take a look, open it up, test it, heat it up, and draw some conclusions.
60 V 5 A Power Supply and a Few Notes on Modifying It
29-10-2021, 10:48
By a twist of fate, another power supply landed in my hands for a while—or, more precisely, one of the variants of a model I’ve reviewed before. As it happened, though, I had to make a few modifications before testing it. As always, the details are in the review.
Sanmim SM-PLG06A power supplies: when power isn't the main thing
17-09-2021, 13:30
Another power supply from Sanmim, but this time it's very compact, though not particularly powerful. As this review shows, it has plenty of interesting features. Inspection, tests, schematic, conclusions.
YS-65SCB power supply, 24 V, 65 W
20-08-2021, 11:09
Another power supply I was asked to test. I was interested in it myself, so I ordered one for a review. As usual: inspection, schematic, tests, conclusions.
A Rather Unusual 25/5 V Power Supply
6-08-2021, 12:30
Not long ago, one of my regular readers suggested in the comments that I review an unusual power supply. It caught my interest, so I thought, why not? It certainly stands out from the crowd of common power supplies.
YS-U50SL power supply, 24 V 2.3 A
23-07-2021, 01:38
Another power supply someone sent me a link to, and one that I think could be interesting, especially for use in T12 soldering stations.
UM-U120S power supply, 12 V 10 A
20-07-2021, 10:39
It's been quite a while since I last reviewed a power supply—one of those "feeders" that power all sorts of devices that need less than mains voltage but more than a battery can provide. So, at the suggestion of one of my regular readers, I ordered several models to test. Today I'll be looking at the first one.
Mean Well HDR-15-24 power supply
21-03-2021, 03:19
Here I am again reviewing a power supply—and not only that, it’s another 24 V model. But this time, I’m looking at a branded power supply from the HDR series, which I’ve written about before. This is a review of the smallest power supply in the series.
24 V 6 A power supply from Geekcreit
21-03-2021, 03:12
Another power supply, this time a very ordinary one, but marketed for powering T12 soldering stations. In reality, it’s just a power supply rated for 24 V and up to 6/7.5 A. Inspection, tests, conclusions—as usual.
Industrial power supply PS-220/24-1.5 from Novatek-Electro
18-03-2021, 03:04
Continuing my series of reviews of products from Novatek-Electro, I ordered a number of their devices to review. They’re a varied bunch, but I wanted to start with something closer to my area of expertise—and, of course, that’s a power supply. As usual: inspection, teardown, tests, and conclusions.
Mean Well LRS-350-48 Low-Profile Power Supply
4-01-2021, 12:20
A year ago, I reviewed the LRS-350-24 power supply. Today, here's a brief look at a model from the same series, but with a 48 V output. Since these power supplies differ essentially only in output voltage and current, this review will be short, but I hope it will still be useful.
3 Geekcreit® 24 V 4A–6A power supplies for $13
25-12-2020, 00:05
One of the readers sent me a link to a deal that I think is quite interesting price-wise.

Adjustable voltage converter RD6006P (not a review)

20-12-2020, 04:51
RuiDeng continues to develop its line of adjustable voltage converters, the RD60xx series, and news of a new model appeared not long ago. But instead of the expected RD6024 with a 24 A output current, which was supposed to follow the RD6018 in the lineup, I decided to take a small “step back” and return to the 6006 model.
