The Choetech store manager sent me a deal and a coupon for a new charger (power supply) featuring GaN technology, two Type-C ports, and up to 100 W of power.

I've been asked more than once about an inexpensive, decent option for a basic soldering station. If you want something reasonably good, T12-tip stations are probably the way to go: they're more convenient than the rather old 900 series. Today I have a very brief review of just such an option.

This review falls into the spontaneous category: I ordered the product without really planning to write about it. But I genuinely liked these batteries, so I ended up putting together a full review with tests. The information may well be useful to someone, since finding decent 14500 batteries on AliExpress turned out to be surprisingly difficult.

The last battery in this roundup from Basen, and this time it’s a model in the increasingly popular 21700 form factor. To some extent, this battery size is replacing the long-established 18650 cells, which have become, you could say, the “standard” for lithium batteries. Inspection, tests, conclusions, and a “strange oddity.”

I needed full-extension slides for one of my projects. They’re used all the time in ordinary furniture, and of course I would have just gone out and bought some at a store, especially since they cost around 2–5 dollars there. But there was a problem: I needed stainless steel slides. More on that in the review.

Another pair of Basen batteries, but unlike the more familiar 18650 form factor, these are larger, in the 26650 size, and naturally have a higher capacity: 4.5 Ah. Inspection, tests, conclusions.

Another Mean Well for my collection, but today this isn't just a power supply review—it's a review of a used power supply. In my opinion, that's much more interesting and, most importantly, more useful than a review of a new one.

This is my third review of Basen batteries, and today I'm looking at a fairly unremarkable model with a capacity of 2500 mAh. Still, I hope you'll find the information useful.
