19-07-2023, 20:45
Another product that was sent to me for review some time ago. It arrived at the end of February 2022 and had to be put on the back burner. As for the product itself, it's a three-port "charger" rated at 30 W.
24 V 10 A power supply—how can they get away with this?
18-07-2023, 13:24
The second power supply I ordered for review, and honestly, it managed to surprise me. Actually, no—the power supply itself wasn’t what surprised me; it’s relatively fine. What surprised me was the sheer audacity, but this is better seen than just read about.

Back in February 2022, I received a couple of power supplies to review, but because of the well-known events, I never got around to writing the review. At most, I took a few photos. And now, at last, I’ve found time to test at least one of the power supplies I received.

Methods for protecting electronic devices and keeping them running when the mains voltage is too high

I don't think I'm far off if I say that quite a lot of people have had electronic devices fail because of overvoltage. It happens for various reasons, but the result is almost always the same: the power supply burns out. Just as there are different causes, there are also different ways to deal with the problem, and that's what we'll talk about today.

An interesting power bank based on the SW6208 chip for 8 18650 cells

A decent power bank for your 18650 batteries, although in my opinion it has a few drawbacks.

How to choose an electronic load

For quite a long time, the simplest solutions were used to test, for example, a power supply under load—powerful resistors or light bulbs. But with the widespread availability of high-power semiconductor components and the emergence of equally powerful power supplies, it became possible to make the process more convenient by using an electronic load.
74HCT125, SGM6130, and a Little About Repairing a 3D Printer Board
7-07-2023, 14:05
This story began around February this year, when two 3D printer boards came in for repair along with a power supply. The power supply turned out to be a relatively easy fix, but the board repairs dragged on for quite a while. I recently got the missing component, though, so I can put together a short article about it.
Samsung INR21700-33J 3270mAh batteries: you won't find them cheaper
I was starting to think there wouldn't be any battery reviews for a while, but then one of my readers got in touch and offered to test some rather unusual and interesting cells from Samsung. Naturally, I agreed—especially since I was curious myself.

Panasonic air conditioner power supply repair, review added

About 4 years ago, I wrote an article about repairing an air conditioner circuit board. Now someone got in touch with me who had exactly the same board and exactly the same fault. At first, we were talking about the ins and outs of service centers, but one thing led to another, and the conversation turned to whether I could repair the board. Well, why not? I could, so I got it and here’s my report.

29-06-2023, 15:37
It hasn’t even been a couple of months since RuiDeng released a complete adjustable power supply based on the RK6006 module, which I reviewed not long ago. But it turns out they didn’t stop there. More in the article.
Used SPA20N60C3 transistors—something strange
28-06-2023, 22:06
These are the third batch of transistors I've received. When I started testing them, I thought I'd give them a quick check and put together a short review, but things went completely differently from what I'd planned...

Along with the FDA59N30 transistors I recently showed, I ordered a couple of other types. Today I'm reviewing one of them: the relatively low-voltage HY3708.

Tpcell 7.5 and 9 Ah batteries for the Makita system—not a review
26-06-2023, 01:23
At the beginning of March, I had three Tpcell product reviews: two types of batteries and a charger. I recently checked the product page and noticed that two more batteries had been added to the lineup. I decided to find out what they were like and tell you about them.

I recently reviewed some FDA59N30 transistors I bought on AliExpress. I mentioned then that I’d ordered a couple dozen more, and here they are.
LG INR21700-M50LT Batteries from Nkon
Yes, batteries again, but this time from the popular Nkon store. In my opinion, these are the best batteries so far in terms of price and specs.
